January 11th, 2009 · No Comments

Galapagos IslandWe’ve got to admit that every country has its own shining moment. There are just season, time, months that a certain adventure destination is best visited. Let us see what are the best and most visited destinations for adventure during the first quarter of the year!

Is there such phrase as “warm in the comforting cold”? That phrase definitely applies to Antarctica. This place is best visited on the month of January; it is the middle of a summer season this time. The two major attraction and must-see event on this month is the birth of sea-pulps and the hatching of penguins. Now your children will witness how the kindred of Mumble, the hero in the movie Happy Feet, come to life. And visit their place too.

If you are about 25 or so, you will remember this tagline, “The Uplifting True-Life Story Of Courage, Determination And Triumph!” Yes, Iron Will, movie. Experience dog sledding in the best location in the Arctic- Norway! February is just the perfect time to do this. You can sled your way to Taiga Forest or the different locations in this country. Or perhaps a side activity of skiing in the Hafjell; deer trailing is also a very interesting activity. Catching the Northern Lights is also a plus bonus.

On March, maybe a visit to Galapagos Island will seal the first quarter of your yearly adventure. With the Spanish name Islas de Colon, Galapago or Islas Galapagos. Adventurers and travelers alike are intrigue on the island since Darwin mentioned it on his revolutionary finding. An adventure getting to know sea lions, turtle and albatross birds is also worth a travel to this place. Though, hiking and other water activities are much at your disposal.

An adventure is something that you rarely normally do. A visit to these places to have a glimpse of the natural habitat of these animals is something we do not normally do- and for it is one great adventure.
